Speaker – Jess Jenkins.

Jess trained as an archivist and worked at the County Record Office in Wigston from 1990-2002. She has a particular interest in the history of protest.

The national tale of the struggles for women’s suffrage in the Edwardian era has featured many times in television and radio documentaries. In this talk, Jess will bring the story into more local focus, looking at the events and people in Leicestershire, their struggles and the outcomes.
