Speaker – Mark Startin

LRFHS member Mark is a local historian with a special interest in Oadby and Wigston. Find out more about the lives of Francis ‘Tanky’ Smith, Leicester’s renowned Victorian detective, and James Hawker, a member of Oadby’s school board and a parish councillor but whose grave has the epitaph ‘I Will Poach Til I Die.’

Doors open at 7:00 pm for a 7:30 start. Tea and coffee available plus CD/book stall.
