Registered Charity No 518870 © LRFHS 2019

The LRFHS Research Centre houses project work undertaken by the Society and other groups across Leicestershire and Rutland.

During 2001 LRFHS members Jane Moelwyn-Hughes and Toni Smith, MBE, began producing booklets on the memorial inscriptions found in various churches, chapels and burial grounds in Gartree Hundred. From 2006-2008 they continued this work through Great Glen U3A Family History Group.

The booklets are nicely produced with background information relating to each parish church or chapel. They are also illustrated with photographs of the churches and the many monuments housed within them. The booklets also contain a plan of the churchyard showing the position of gravestones and markers.

The booklets are housed in the LRFHS Library and are made available here as free digital downloads.
