We are pleased to announce that the lease has now been signed for our new premises and so in 2026 the LRFHS Research Centre will be based at Clarence House, 46 Humberstone Gate, Leicester, LE1 3PJ (the AGE UK building). We will have a large, self-contained room on the second floor of the building (the Gwen Cook Room), with lift access available. There is a small kitchenette alongside our base and also an onsite cafe on the ground floor.
We closed at Every Street on 12 December and are currently packing up everything, with a move planned for early January. We will obviously let members know when we have a confirmed date for opening, hopefully in the second week of January.
We are planning a number of events/courses etc for our new venue in what is an exciting new phase for the Society in its 51st year.
