Do you need help with a particular aspect of your family history research ?
Our Research Service offers assistance with any family history enquiry or challenge that you might have. We have a team of LRFHS volunteers who will use the resources available at our Research Centre (including all the datasets held by the Society) and reference books to try to help.
Submitting a research request
Please fill out the form below giving full details of your enquiry, including sources already searched. We will then do our best to try and help you or make a suggestion for further actions on your part.
Please note that although we will acknowledge your request as soon as possible, it can sometimes take a few weeks before we can carry out the research, depending on resources and workload.
Charges are as follows:
- LRFHS Members – One hour free, then £5 per hour
- Non members – 30 minutes free, then £10 per hour
We will email you regarding payment after you have submitted your enquiry.
At Every Street Research Centre
If you are able to visit the Research Centre, our volunteers are happy to help you with your research or to suggest other enquiry routes.
