We’re taking part in this year’s Old Town Festival and will be based in the Guildhall, Guildhall Lane, Leicester, LE1 5FQ.
As part of this, we are researching people who lived and/or worked in the Old Town during the 1920s (when the Guildhall was re-opened to the public). Do you have ancestors who were in this area (High Street, Silver Street, Loseby Lane, Friar Lane etc) at this time ? If so, would you be willing to write 250-300 words about their lives for a small exhibition ? Or perhaps you don’t have ancestors, but would be happy to research someone from the 1921 census.
