Speaker – Brian Johnson.

Brian is well-known to the Society, speaking from his wealth of knowledge of the history and heritage of Leicester. In this talk you can learn about the architectural impact that Arthur Wakerley had in the late 1800s in Leicester, many of the buildings still standing and now Grade II listed. He was also at various times Mayor of Leicester, politician, Wesleyan lay preacher and temperance worker.
