It is almost certain that anyone researching their family history will have encountered ancestors who worked as agricultural labourers. But how many of our ancestors were industrial labourers? What jobs did they do? What was life like for them? Well-known speaker Dr Nick Barratt (of ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ fame) will provide some ideas and guidance on how to explore the lives of our industrial labourer ancestors to answer these, and many other, questions.
