Belgrave St Peter’s Church

Belgrave St Peter’s baptism register has been recorded and indexed from 1700 to 1921 – a total of 221 years and 10,930 baptisms. This church was in Leicestershire (Barrow on Soar Registration District) until 1891 and became part of Leicester after the boundary changes.

Belgrave St Michael’s Church

Belgrave St Michael’s baptism register has been recorded and indexed from 1887 to 1921 – a total of 34 years and 4,605 baptisms. This church was in Leicestershire (Barrow on Soar Registration District) until 1891 and became part of Leicester after the boundary changes.

St Gabriel’s Church, Leicester

St Gabriel’s baptism register has been recorded and indexed from 1916 to 1921 – a total of 5 years and 27 baptisms.

It is not a transcription, does not include any birth dates or additional information. The original registers should be consulted for confirmation of details. They can be seen at the Leicester, Leics & Rutland Records Office and can also be viewed on microfiche there. The Leics & Rutland Family History Society have acquired most of the microfiche.

The register numbers quoted are as in the registers, however, each book starts at ‘1’ and so consequently the register numbers will be repeated. Not all entries were recorded by the incumbent in chronological order.
