Index of Marriages for Market Harborough Registration District from 1st July 1837 – 31 Dec 1911.

For those new to Family History: The GRO (General Register Office) record marriages by year and quarter. Each quarter is listed alphabetically by parish/village with all the Register Office & Non-Conformist events listed at the end. They are given page numbers and so can be sorted into pairs.

My task was to find all the Church of England marriages for each village in the district and find who married who and where. Of the over 16,300 names listed about 3,000 were not found consequently there are some names at the end of each quarter which have GRO references but no information, and where the registers are not available these are mainly Non-Conformist or Register Office events.
