The indexes of 14,505 names from Leicester and Leicestershire Poll Books and Trade Directories 1754 to 1796.
This dataset has been compiled from the following books (found on open shelves) at the Records Office for Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland:-
- 1754 – Leicester Poll Book (originally compiled and published by J Gregory)
- 1768 – Leicester Poll Book (2 copies originally compiled and published by J Gregory and J Ireland)
- 1775 – Leicester and Leicestershire Poll Book (originally compiled by J Ireland)
- 1784 – Bailey’s British Directory (i.e. trade directory)
- 1791 – Universal Directory of Leicester and Leicestershire (i.e. trade directory)
- 1794 – Weston’s Leicester Directory (i.e. trade directory) (compiled by R Weston)
- 1796 – Leicester Poll Book (originally compiled by J Throsby)
