St Mary de Castro baptism register has been recorded and indexed from 1600 to 1921 – a total of 321 years and 29,191 baptisms. It does not seem to be included in the International Genealogical Index (IGI) after 1836. (It appears to be included in the IGI prior to 1837 under the names of St Mary and St Mary de Castro). Parts of this register in the 1700s are difficult to read.

St George’s baptism register has been recorded and indexed from 1827 to 1921 – a total of 94 years and 14,244 baptisms. It does not seem to be included in the International Genealogical Index (IGI) after 1875. Although this is not an ‘ancient’ church it has been included to complete the pre1837 Anglican baptisms in Leicester Borough.
