Transcription Of Belgrave Cemetery Burial Records from 1881 – 2000.
The aim of this project was to transcribe the data from the Belgrave Cemetery Burial Record Books kept by Leicester City Council Bereavement Services Department, and produce a searchable index of the records.
The transcription work was carried out at the Bereavement Services offices at Gilroes Crematorium and was done by Leicestershire & Rutland Family History Society member volunteers.
This CD covers from 05 May 1881 to 31 December 2000. This period includes over 15,400 burials and disposal of cremation ashes and urns.
Also included on the CD are the layout plans of the cemetery sections.
File Types
The Indexes are split into 3 files as below to make searching the records easier:
- DATES – Presenting the transcribed records in their original order
- SURNAMES – Listing all of the burials together alphabetically
- PLOTS – These plots are listed numerically in Sections A to E.
