This CD is a re-make of our original CD2 published in 2001, but the marriage transcriptions are in the format of our later CD’s, laid out in Excel in a searchable and viewable format. It is a transcription of all details from the marriages in the registers from July 1837 to May 1897.
The information is available in date order with all the details and is also indexed in Alphabetical surname order, with date and spouses added.
Information available is year, date, forenames, surname, age, status, occupation, father’s name, father’s occupation and witnesses for both the bride and groom. Due to the illegibility of some of the writing, any doubtful letters have been shown as a question mark (?).
Abbreviations in the list are as follows:- Age Column: FA = Full Age, M = Minor. Status Column: B = bachelor, S = spinster, W = widow or widower.
