Baptism Registers and combined Surname Indexes for the following parishes:

• Glenfield St Peter’s Church baptism register has been recorded and indexed from 1700 to 1921 – a total of 221 years and 2,547 baptisms.
• Anstey St Mary’s Church baptism register has been recorded and indexed from 1700 to 1921 – a total of 221 years and 4,173 baptisms.
• Groby St Philip & St James’ Church baptism register has been recorded and indexed from 1840 to 1921 – a total of 81 years and 1,155 baptisms. (See Ratby church register before 1840).
• Kirby Muxloe St Bartholomew’s Church baptism register has been recorded and indexed from 1700 to 1921 – a total of 221 years and 1,816 baptisms.
• Newtown Linford All Saints’ Church baptism register has been recorded and indexed from 1700 to 1921 – a total of 221 years and 2,277 baptisms.
• Markfield St Michael’s Church baptism register has been recorded and indexed from 1700 to 1921 – a total of 221 years and 5,279 baptisms.
• Ratby St Philip & St James’ Church baptism register has been recorded and indexed from 1778 to 1921 – a total of 143 years and 3,549 baptisms. The register before 1778 has not survived, some earlier entries do occur but are out of order. There are no register numbers May 1839 – Dec 1876 and Feb 1895 – Apr 1895. (This church register includes Groby baptisms before 1840).
• Thurcaston-Cropston All Saints’ Church baptism register has been recorded and indexed from 1700 to 1921 – a total of 221 years and 2,289 baptisms.

Included are two combined indexes – surname / forename and surname / parents, with a total of 23,085 baptisms. The eight churches are situated to the immediate north-west of the county/city boundary.
